En conmemoración de "50 años de Arte Correo en Argentina"

Como director del "Archivo Vortice Argentina", tengo el agrado de presentar esta exhibición internacional de Arte Correo en la Barraca Vorticista de la ciudad de Buenos Aires.

El día de la inauguración de la muestra es el 5 de Diciembre de 2025, fecha determinada por Vortice Argentina desde el inicio del proyecto en 1999 como el "Día del Arte Correo" en Argentina. Esa misma fecha, en el año 1975, se inauguraba la "Última Exposición Internacional de Arte Correo", primera muestra organizada en nuestro país y convocada por los artistas argentinos Edgardo Antonio Vigo y Horacio Zabala. Dicha exposición se realizó en la Galería Arte Nuevo, dirigida por Álvaro Castagnino; en ella participaron 199 artistas de 24 países.

Considero muy importante dicho proyecto, que alcanza carácter y difusión internacional, y que implica además abrazar la memoria y la vigencia de Edgardo A.Vigo, pionero de esta actividad en Argentina.

La curaduría y coordinación del proyecto está a cargo de Fernando García Delgado con la colaboración de los artistas argentinos Laura Andreoni, Alejandra Bocquel, Marcela D’Alessandro y Norberto José Martínez.

Agradezco a todos los artistas que participaron con sus obras enviadas para poder concretar esta nueva edición del proyecto.

“Mail Art Day”. 2025 edition

In commemoration of “50 years of Mail Art in Argentina”

As director of the “Vortice Argentina Archive”, I have the pleasure of presenting this international mail art exhibition in the Barraca Vorticista of the city of Buenos Aires.

The opening day of the exhibition is December 5, 2025, a date determined by “Vortice Argentina” since the start of the project in 1999 as the “Mail Art Day” in Argentina. That same date, in 1975, the “Last International Mail Art Exhibition” was inaugurated, the first exhibition organized in our country and called by the Argentine artists Edgardo Antonio Vigo and Horacio Zabala. This exhibition was held at the Arte Nuevo Gallery, directed by Álvaro Castagnino; 199 artists from 24 countries participated in it.

I consider this project very important, which reaches international character and dissemination, and which also implies embracing the memory and validity of Edgardo A.Vigo, pioneer of this activity in Argentina.

The curatorship and coordination of the project is in charge of Fernando García Delgado with the collaboration of Argentine artists Laura Andreoni, Alejandra Bocquel, Marcela D'Alessandro and Norberto José Martínez.
